i love easter with an 18 month old

Easter is up there for me on the list. Love SG weather. Love our family traditions. Love Nana's food. And I love when I get to teach my baby "put the egg in your basket"! Well it's not Easter yet but since we have pretty much the best neighborhood ever, we are always looking for reasons to get all the kids together. So we did our annual Easter Egg Hunt. It was so windy the day of the hunt, this is why we don't love Easter here, so we moved it to the church. It turned out great and I just loved watching Alex figuring it all out.

Andrew B.

Now it's Drew's turn. Drew the skinny one. He asks a million questions a day. He says the funniest things. He has a great personality. He is kind. He is the sensitive one. He is the easiest to discipline. He loves golf and baseball. He can't wait to start Baseball next week. He has amazing handwriting for a 3 year old. He loves to draw and color. He had his first talk in Primary last Sunday and did awesome! He is such a wonderful part of our family.

He's a pain! (in my back)

I keep telling myself things will get better. But they don't. This kid bugs! If only ALL my kids could be little Drew's. It's like a trick. Here's a perfect little boy Drew, so that I will have another, then Psyche! Tyler thinks Alex is the most awesomest kid ever. Really? I see little pieces of awesomeness but wouldn't say he's the most awesome. He's going to be the pain in the (back) kid that will be living at our house when he's 30. Can't wait. One of the many buggy things he does or doesn't do I should say is EAT. How do you not like to eat? You are not my child if you don't like to eat, it's my favorite thing to do. Anyways I took him off the bottle last week so now he doesn't drink either. Sweet. So he's pretty much going to be 25 lbs the rest of his life. Then I know I've told you how destructive he is. I swear he can just look at something and it will break or he could just place one finger on something and it will disperse into a huge mess. It's pretty incredible really. Maybe he has special powers? So there's a little piece of Alex at 18 months old. Our hardest child yet. There is one food he does like, black beans. So here he is with his beans making a mess, what he does best.

P.S. One positive about the little guy, it comes with his personality. He's tough. He will full on fall on his face, on the cement, scrape his chin, bleed from the mouth because he's torn that little skin thing that connects your lip to your upper gums, and not a single cry will come out. He's too busy thinking about what to destroy next.

COSTA 2/27-3/6

Day #Uno

We just want HOT SUN! And we got it, averaged 97 degrees the whole time.

Our beach.

Our patio on the beach.

Our personal hammock.

Each room had two double beds (common in Central America). The first night there we were under a tsunami watch from the earthquake in Chili. So I climbed into Tyler's double bed in the middle of the night (I was scared). And that's how we slept the rest of the week. In ONE double bed! Good thing I love my husband.

The whole gang shopping (Tyler always tries to steal a kid from wherever we are).

A little poker.

Day #Dos

Snorkel at Torguga Island
Low tide + boat with all of us = stuck in the crocodile infested water = boys have to get out and push = girls tanning in the boat = one funny memory.

Tortuga (turtles, and we saw a couple) Island.

Andy and Jocelyn.

Mike and Janai.

Doug and Michelle.

Tyler and Jamie.

Dinner.

Day #Tres

TRYING to skim board, kayak, and boogie board.

Looking for Crocodiles? Yep in that same water where the boys were pushing! We saw 3.

We also fed wild monkeys....

A little tennis that night.

Day #Cuatro

Boys went golfing.

Girls stayed at the pool and danced in bubbles???

Dinner at the "nice" restaurant.

The most beautiful sunsets.

Day #Cinco

We spent the day at the surf town Jaco where the boys did some surfing. We spotted some more crocodiles on the way.

The best part was Coke Light. Less calories but no aspartame. Genius!

I think I peed 12 times a day, I peed here too.

My surfer dude is so hot! I was going to try surfing but didn't because I didn't want to die.

This beach was so awesome!

Day #Seis

We took horses up to the zip lines.

We ziplined 25 times over 11 waterfalls! Hello so fun!

Tyler and Andy sliding down the waterfall.

Lunch in the mountains.

That night the resort had a special guest. Yep, I knew it, he is alive and well. Living it up in Costa Rica!

We now know why everyone told us Costa is the best vacation! It was absolutely amazing and we would go back tomorrow if we could.

Bonus! I read the third Twilight book on the plane rides!
