Dumpster Diving

I have never locked cabinets
through 3 kids
until now
this little one drives me crazy
he empties all the cabinets 5 times a day
today he got into the garbage
he found his banana from this morning
he thought he should finish it I guess
I will be going to Target tonight
to get those cabinet locks
something I have never wanted to do
he thinks he's so clever

16 Month Old Alex

It seriously seems like I just had this kid. Poor little thing's life has flown for us. Hopefully I have a few pictures to show for him. Third child doesn't get the cute little scrapbook. Third child doesn't get much of anything, except hand-me-downs. So here's a look of the kid that keeps me on my feet.

If any one of my kids are actor's it will be Alex. He can turn the tears off and on in 1.2 seconds. So we look forward to his acting career..... or bad case of Bipolar.

Alex is the boy of many faces. I remember Olivia being animated and this is something Alex has inherited.

Still waiting for my timid child. I thought it might be Alex but it's not. Yes he did jump.

Alex loves any kind of candy, chocolate, cake, ice cream, sweet thing. So a lot of brushy brushy with this little one.

He's the only person I will let give me open mouth kisses. Love them.
He has a runny nose more than he doesn't. Some kisses are salty but I don't care.
He tells me he's hungry by just going to his highchair.
He still drinks from a bottle.
He went from taking 2- 2.5 hour naps to maybe 1- 1 hour nap if I'm lucky. I hope it's a phase. Sleeps 13 hours at night though, so can't complain there.
He's smart and he loves books.
He's getting so skinny.

I love his eyes, his eyebrows, and eyelashes.
I love his bum, his teeth, and the veins in his neck.

Television

I remember we used to have a TV like this. We would play Pacman on the Atari. Good times. Anyways I love TV. Watch way too much. Kids watch way too much. But I love "my shows". These are some shows I watch at least on a weekly basis. Now remember I do get things done around here, I am a multitasker.

-Scrubs, always and forever a fan.
-The Office, I feel like I know Michael.
-48 Hour Mystery, Primetime, 20/20, Dateline, these automatically record and it's sad because it's not very often when I see a new one. There needs to be more sick crimes done out there to satisfy my entertainment needs.
-Little People, Big World, I don't know, maybe I can relate? Oh I like the Little Couple too.
-Say Yes to the Dress, so fun.
-House Hunters, I have been watching this for a long time. I just love it, especially House Hunters International.
-Jay Leno, I like a little Jay before na-night.
-Oprah, if it's new and interesting.

Do you watch TV or do I need to get a life? It's funny how our kids don't know the words television or telephone.

.the new me.

So bought me some pants with bling. I just want to fit in with the world, you know. Like so cute out clubbing, which I don't do. But not so cute with my granola North Face fleece and clogs. I love diamonds, don't get me wrong, I just never thought about wearing them on my butt.

Then I had this chip, on a bottom tooth. I have had it since I can remember. Have no idea how I got it? It gives me character. But got it fixed, it was so easy, I just layed there. Also got 3 of my 5 silver fillings changed to pretty porcelain. The other two are next month. Totally worth every penny. I don't want to be singing on American Idol and have my silver fillings show.

2010 I'm taking care of myself this year!

The cutest little Sunbeam

I took this picture Sunday because we have a new Sunbeam! I really can't believe I have a CTR 7 and a Sunbeam. Plus in 2 months Alex will join the Nursery. And I will be able to maybe, but probably not learn something at church (Besides the gossip in the halls). But seriously, Gospel Doctrine goes way over my head. Does anyone else know what they are talking about, that didn't serve a mission??? I need Gospel Doctrine for Dummies.

HaHaHa. I am not a revolution maker or a resolution maker! Glad I got that cleared up! You knew what I meant!

Drew the "little" dork

There are so many perks when you are little. Like fitting in an arcade game?
Drew almost gave his Dad a heart attack at Red Robin the other day. Tyler thought we were going to have to call the firefighters.

Resolution Smesolution

I am NOT an resolution maker. In fact I am not a goal maker. Tyler finds it odd since he is an avid goal setter. One of his goals was to be a millionaire before he's 31 years old. Yah, he'll be 31 next month, haven't seen the millions rolling in. I feel goals and/or resolutions are things you want to accomplish. Key word WANT. There is a good chance you won't accomplish them at all. So what am I? I am a list maker. A to-do list maker. Instead of making goals that I hope to accomplish, I just make a list of realistic tasks that I need to do. And this is important, I actually do them! I always have a to-do list laying around this house somewhere. My life would fall apart if I didn't have my lists.
1- I need to date my husband more often. We used to be so good at this. Going out at least every month. Now that the kids are getting older sometimes it's just easier to take them with us. We need to leave them home.
2- I need my bathing suit body back by my Birthday. Yuck. I don't want exercise so I might be doing a little exercising and a little starving myself to achieve this (with a little tanning too, that always makes you look thinner). We have a trip planned right after my Birthday and I want to look the best out of all my friends! Haha.
3- I need to be more organized. I love to organize so this should be easy. It's just finding the time, I guess. Or maybe just using my time wisely! I got my new best pal for Christmas, my label maker. He is going to help me.
4- One on one time with the kids. Especially Olivia and Drew. We do it sometimes but we need to really do it monthly. Daddy Daughter dates/ Father and Son dates. And alone time with Mom. This is so important, they are growing up so quickly.
5- I need to go Visiting teaching every month this year! My companion is a close friend and all 4 ladies we visit teach are close friends. So it should be really easy, I just need to get off my butt and do it, faithfully.
6- Temple time. I need to make time for the Temple. I don't love to go, to be honest. Maybe when I am older and less ADD I will grow a better appreciation for the temple but I just get bored very easily. I have so much work to do and I need to just do it!
7- I need to save more money. I love to spend money so this is hard. But I know the importance of saving and I really need to stop shopping (so much). I need to shop but just not as much. Deal?
8- I need to print my blog entries. I actually do this for a reason. I have given up scrapbooking/journaling. I have a couple of years to do so it's a big project on my mind.
9- I have always wanted to get my wedding dress preserved. Almost 8 years later and I still haven't had it done. Olivia probably will think it's hideous when she gets married but I will take the chance. I also want to do my Temple dress (which is the dress I got married in). I can just picture Olivia getting married in it. That would make me so happy. I have done all 3 kids blessing outfits, for their babies. So I haven't totally dropped the ball.
10- Food storage. We did this last year but I need to complete it. We have the water, we have the 48 hour backpacks ready, we have the emergency cash supply, and we have the 3 month food supply. What we don't have is the plan. The meeting place, the personal documents (laminated). There is always room for improvement for emergency preparedness. And I want to feel prepared!
So now that I am overwhelmed and I feel like curling up in my bed and taking a long nap... At least I shouldn't be bored for a few months.

Balloons

It was "Grandpa in heaven's" Birthday yesterday.
So we did our little tradition and
wrote him a note and sent balloons up his way.

Most people wouldn't call it luck but I think these kids are so lucky to have an angel watch over and protect them.
