This makes it all worth it!

Not knowing the gender of this baby has definitely been very difficult to say the least. But getting two little outfits for the baby's homecoming has made it a little more manageable. One PINK one BLUE. Which one will be worn and which will be returned? One side of me is strongly convinced it's a boy but then the other side of me really doesn't know. I can't wait to find out, either way I am going to be totally surprised!!!!

gOoD oL' pRiCe UtAh!!!!!!!

Experiencing the place where one of your best friend's grew up can tell you a lot about your Friend and why she is the way she is. That was my plan when we decided to go to Price, Utah for the weekend with Jocelyn and Andy. I just had a lot of unanswered questions that needed some clearing before we could take our relationship to the next level! Price actually is a really beautiful place and reminded me of a tiny little St. George. Well sort of.....
So the first night we arrived at Jocelyn's parents house I fell down the stairs, yep all of me and my unborn child. It really didn't hurt. I went head first but did a roll at the end to protect the tummy. It did rip off half of my big toe nail, so that's really pretty at the moment. That night, all night, I was having what I think to be real contractions. My uterus and lower back just ached and ached. But they went away thank goodness just in time to four wheel the next day.


We did stop at a beautiful luscious pond to let the kids play with the salamanders and frogs. Kids meaning husbands and kids.




Within the 4 hour four wheeler exploration we stopped at a shady rock formation and just rested for awhile.



All and all it really was so much fun and we really enjoyed Price and each other's company. Jocelyn's parents were so great and brave to take on an extra family of four to feed and entertain. Olivia really thinks that Kevin and Rita are her Grandma and Grandpa. Too cute and I am not telling her the truth. We can use all the Grandma's and Grandpa's we can get! Thanks so much Jocelyn for having us in your childhood home and now we definitely can take our relationship to the next level. I am looking forward to a little visit to Andy's hometown, Preston Idaho. Not.

6 Unimportant things about me.....

Well this one was hard, I can't even think of 6 important things let alone unimportant things, so here it goes....

1. I like weird smells. Let me explain, I love the smell of an unfinished basement, or a storage room, or attic. It's that musty cement smell that I am in love with and have been since I can remember. Since we finished are basement I lost that lovin feeling (smell) but I did find it if I lay down my one of the upstairs vents while the air condition is on. Tyler has walked by a few times, he doesn't even ask what the heck this fat pregnant lady is doing in a fetal position of the floor with her face on the vent.

2. I married Jesus. Sort of. This one I will have to explain as well. When Tyler was going to Dixie he had Del Parson as his art teacher and Del asked if he would pose for a Christ picture he was going to paint for the church. To make a long story short, he did and the picture came out when he was on his mission. I can totally see the resemblance, especially every single vein in his hand is right on the money. PS he really was holding a real lamb.


3. I love bAsEbAlL! I grew up watching baseball, my brother's played baseball, my Dad coached Baseball. And now I married someone who played and still plays baseball. Most people I talk to think Baseball is the most boring sport to watch but I beg to differ. When you know the game really well it's very entertaining. Tyler still plays every week and we don't miss a game, no matter how cold or hot it is. I want my kids to love the sport as much as me and Tyler do.

4. I still pop and crack every joint in my body. I know some of you will remember this. It just feels so good. Tyler says I even do it in my sleep. I know that when I am 40 I will be in a wheelchair all arthritic but it's just too hard to quit when most of the time I don't even know I am doing it.

5. Olivia hates me! Well at least she tells me that almost every day. I thought that kind of stuff came in the tween years but I guess 4 years old is close enough. I know I am not the funnest person to be around but geeze it's such a harsh word. Thanks alot Nemo. Good luck to all that has little girls.

6. Finally the last unimportant thing about me is that I love music! I love to jam. Like I am temped to put a sub in back of the minivan. My kids might have little hearing loss before they are even 2 but it just makes me in such a good mood. Even when I am cleaning or cooking I have the music on. People ask if I teach my kids to dance, yah right, it's just from the womb they are exposed to music and different beats. I remember Olivia's favorite song when she was seriously 1 was a Prince song. Is that wrong?

wHaT tHe HaIL???

So today I thought my windows might shatter. We were hit with a huge hail storm. It was so incredibly loud!!! They never last very long but I love love storms like that. I love thunder storms, lightening storms, hail storms, or just when it pours for an hour. Especially when they are in the summer.



I could tell the kids wanted to go outside so after the hail stopped it just poured rained, so I let them "dance in the rain". And yes it was about 2:00 in the afternoon and yes the kids were still in their pajamas. Give me break already.

THE POLICE!!!!

So we went to the much anticipated Police concert on Saturday. I think I bought the tickets back in February so it seems like we've waiting forever. I bought tickets for my Mom and Step-Dad as well, so they drove down from Boise to go with us. It was so good. First of all Elvis Costello opened up. I grew up listening to Elvis Costello so that was a treat. Then the ever so handsome Sting came out and did his thing. The Police had so many great hits it's amazing. It was really fun and I am pretty sure the Police won't tour anymore so that was the last time to see them all together. For you that don't know me very well, I am a 80's fanatic. I love the 80's music way better than today or even the 90's. Kind of weird since I was born in 82 but still that is why I have XM radio, so I can listen to only 80's. So it's no surprise why this concert was sooo good to me. And still to this day my all time favorite concert was INXS. I love the 80's!

Farewell Zoe

So having a puppy was short lived. Regretting my decision of buying her since the day after I bought her it was just too much on me right now. Potty Training a puppy is a TON of work. Not to mention other little quarks that I am not used to. Like how attached she was to me and wouldn't even let me go to the bathroom ALONE. So I thought how am I suppose to do this when in a couple of months I will have a newborn? Well the perfect scenario came up and when we went to California, a family in our ward and neighborhood offered to watch her. Now this family already has animals, has had dogs in the past and desperately wants a puppy. So it was no surprise when we came back they offered to buy her. They are the perfect family for little Zoe. They have a little girl who's 9, Haley and a little boy who's 7. Great ages for a puppy. Not so much mine, 4, 2, and 0. So anyways I thought it would be a no brainer to sale her to them but it was a hard decision on our family. I actually longed for Zoe when we were on our vacation and I know the rest of the family did too. But thinking in the future we would have a new little joy to spoil and admire in just a short while. So I know we made the best decision and when the kids are old enough to help with a puppy we can get another. So these last couple of days Haley has brought Zoe to visit us when we need a quick Zoe fix. She actually brings her in a baby stroller and blanket, plus her hair all done up in a bow. There is no doubt Zoe is getting spoiled to death. They are such a great family and I am so grateful that this perfect opportunity came up where they do the dirty work and we still get visitation rights. Today Haley brought over a little thank you note with a picture of Zoe. Too cute.

Vacation In CaLiFoRnIa!

So we went to California for a week and had so much fun. We went to Hollister where Tyler is from and got to see all of our family that we don't see too often. First we flew into San Francisco and stayed the first night there and the next day went to Six Flags Marine World. The kids had a blast and since I couldn't go on any rides I just had fun watching.




Then we headed down to Hollister to see family and go to Tyler's cousin's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception.




Drew was such a hoot at the reception. Him and Olivia love to dance and I must say they do have some moves. Drew was in the middle of the dance floor for most of the night with an audience cheering him on. So cute.
Olivia had so much fun with her second cousin Anna. They were inseparable and got along so well. Anna is like four months younger than Olivia and is like the same height which is amazing because Olivia is so tall for her age. They were so stinking cute together. Olivia doesn't have any girl cousins yet so 2nd cousins will have to do for now.


These next couple of pictures are of Olivia and Baba (Great-Grandma), Olivia with Aunt Annie (Tyler's Aunt), and the four generations for Olivia and Drew.



We also had alot of fun just swimming. My kids are definitely water babies.




This last picture is of Drew and my Nephew Derek. They are very close in age and will be good buds all growing up. I wish he lived closer to us so we could see him more often. They don't look much like cousins though, well except the blue eyes I guess.

We had such a great vacation, it went by way too fast. Now it's just recovering from the vacation. I definitely need to put my feet up more.....

Happy 4th of July!

We had a busy holiday this past weekend. But it was so much fun to be with our good friends in our neighborhood. First we had our first Camp out! We meaning I left when I got tired and went to my own bed, are you kidding, I am not sleeping in a tent at this point. Olivia was so excited. We camped out at Jocelyn and Andy's. We watched a movie outside on the big screen as well. It was so great. I felt Tyler crawl into bed around 3:00am though so really Olivia was the only one who roughed it.

Then on the Fourth we did our little tradition with our neighbors and set off tons of firecrackers outside. Thank you to all the people who buy illegal fireworks because we got to enjoy those all around us as well.





So on Saturday we concluded by taking the kids to Seven Peaks. The kids loved the slides. Drew is a wild one around water so we have to keep a close eye on that kid or he will just jump in wherever. He holds his breath for so long underwater and absolutely loves it. Maybe he will be our Olympic swimmer? Well along with playing pro- baseball of course. So anyways the busy weekend made my veins a little more noticeable but it was worth it, I love to stay busy and be with our friends.
