Tyler + Jamie

I love that Tyler got to know my GG before she passed away.
When we were dating we went to visit her twice in Vallejo, California.
He got to see her hundreds and hundreds of precious moments she collected over the years and all my childhood measurements on the wall.
I have so many memories of her and that little house. It just wouldn't have been the same if Tyler didn't get to experience it.
She passed right before we got married. About 2 years shy of having five generations of woman.
So glad they met. It means a lot to me.

instagram update

Guys go for the game. Girls go for the dessert.
Make-a-Wish Gala in an airplane hanger. Tyler sits on the board of the Make-a-Wish foundation. He loves it. (I should get a wish for being a little person)

We have playgroup at my house every Wednesday.
She can hear the dishwasher open from a mile away.
Well check! Still to this day my kids have never missed a well check. That is roughly 40 well checks to Dr. Lash to date (I hope he enjoys the new boat we got him).
If he's not at the Jazz game, he's downstairs watching it. Those guys sure love Uno.
 We started the single piggy.
Tyler wears a size 13. Need I say more.
Dental checks. We also don't miss dental checks. I was amazed Alex let them take X-rays. He still freaked when they cleaned though. This was his 3rd visit so I thought he might be over it but not so much.
 The no cavity ride.
Esther got her first bloody nose during the night. She's had another since too (she bonked her nose). I have never in my life had a bloody nose. Olivia get's them all the time. Weirdos.
 Sassy pants.
Started weaning from the breastages. She obviously was giving me the finger for it.
She'll let me rock her before naps. Dumb habit to start but you would too if it was your last baby.
 Fevered baby.
Sleeping fevered baby. Never did find out why she had a fever.
I like big butts and I cannot lie. But.... if we are going to have these big butts we need a bigger house.
Yes she wears the same sandals I wore as a little girl. I have pictures to prove it.
Lovin my boat shoes this season.
It's a little weird to look over and see my daughter in the front seat.
Big girl milk! She loves Winder just as much as we do.
 BBQ season started.
Why not, right? Maybe she'll be amazing.
Learning my times tables again thanks to Olivia.
Drew in his Kindergarten class. He's the smartest, cutest, most well behaved one there. In my opinion.
Sissy takes the best naps (I'm not trying to rub it in Jessica). But she does.
She ate a lime and a receipt at our Friday lunch with Dad.
He learned to buckle himself! Praise the heavens above.
We might be a competitive family.
Big girl seat! And loving it!!!
I hit a random guy's crotch at McDonalds. End of story.

Organize me

I finally got around to hanging our family rules. There's just one.
It was love at first sight when I read this quote. I had to make one for my kitchen.

*I failed to mention on my last week's post that I have a stock pile of food in the basement. With out that it would be very hard to have such a clean and organized pantry. I highly recommend one.

Spring Cleaning
#3 Outside Projects
Luckily the weather was gorgeous last Saturday. I only like doing yard work if I am killing two birds and working on my tan. (which reminds me I save a bird's life the other day when he got tangled in kite string, I'm such a good person)

My outside projects included:
Planting plants and flowers in my 6 pots
Hosing off the porch and deck
Cleaning the grill
Scrubbing the patio table and chairs
Laying new bark
Weeding
(luckily we usually only have like 3)
Having our deck and house sprayed for bees

Anything that needed cleaning I used the handy DAWN soap. It works wonders. Especially on the grill that had so much built up grease. Your welcome Tyler.

I don't know if it's because of our very mild winter but holy freak the hornets this year! For one they love our deck, which the bee guy said is weird because they are usually not attracted to the trax wood. But when I stepped out there this last Saturday there were like 12 on the deck so they obviously already made a nest under the deck. We go through this every year but this time I called a professional. He came out immediately and sprayed our whole house so hopefully that does the trick, it's guaranteed.
 My friend Tyler helped.

Drew's Day

This year is the GIRLS year for Birthday parties so Drew just got a special day with the family!

He received 6 wishes (requests).

Number 1- Donut for breakfast

Number 2- Lunch at Panda Express
This kid loves Panda "bear" Express. Tyler came home to surprise the kid and take "just" him to lunch after school. He thought that was pretty amazing.

Number 3- Hawaiian pizza for dinner

Number 4- A gift basket
A few weeks ago when I asked Drew what he wanted for his birthday he immediately said a gift basket! A gift basket with all his favorite things inside. Bless his little heart.

Number 5- Dinosaur Museum
We rented out the museum so we could have the place to ourselves. K not really but we did hit a slow evening and we were the only ones there. It was perfect!

Number 6- Ice cream

I hope he had the best day. I sure did just watching him!
