Tyler + Jamie

.THE TEMPLE WEDDING PART ONE.

I was baptized when I was 10 years old. We had just moved from California to St. George. I don't ever remember going to church after that.
It's like my parents wanted all their babies blessed and baptized to save our souls or something. But that's it. Which is completely backwards. I would rather die not a member of the church than an inactive one. That way I wouldn't be held accountable. I wish I was baptized later in my life, where I could have made the decision myself.
My Mom is a convert. She was baptized at probably 26. She got baptized for other people. Not for herself. And when that happens it is very hard to carry on in the church.

I had a conversation with Gary one day. He knew I just sent my boyfriend off on a mission. He asked me what I am going to do when he gets home? He's not going to want to marry me. He's going to be at the highest point of his life and he's going to want a girl that is completely ready to meet him half way.
That conversation didn't settle well with me. I thought that is the meanest thing someone could say. I was doing the best I knew how to do with the examples that were given to me. But then I look at my examples. I don't want to be like them either.
I start going to church. The Dixie college ward. I felt like a convert. I wanted to be prepared when my missionary came home. Little did I know, that wasn't why I was put in that place at that time.

I met Tyler.

 And when the time came. I was prepared to marry him. How thankful I am for that missionary. He was doing missionary work back home and didn't even know it.

Tyler proposed 3 months after my dad died. We were married 3 months after that. At the time I just wanted to be Tyler's wife. I wanted to get on with my life. So it was a small wedding with little detail. Looking back I would have done everything differently. I guess that's why I had a girl first. Her wedding will be spectacular. She will have the wedding I deserved but with wrong timing didn't get. All the things that are tradition I didn't want at the time. Your Dad is such a big part of your wedding and I had just lost that whole dream.

::Track & Tennis::

Olivia, Drew and Tayja competed in ::track:: this year.

They had practice twice a week, in the heat, for months. Then competed in 4 track meets. It was a lot of work. Running is not the funnest thing to do in the summer heat but these kids were awesome!

 50 meter :: 100 meter
Olivia and Tayja always placed in the top 4. But there were so many kids that just because they got 1st in their heat, didn't mean they even placed over all. It just depended. But they are fast!
The last track meet was all of Salt Lake County. Olivia placed 5th in the 50 meter out of 50 something girls!

Drew, bless his gigantic heart, never won. He was barely old enough to even be signed up, which means he was the very youngest and one of the smallest. He was running with older faster kids, but you would never know it. He has the best attitude and outlook. So proud of my buddy. He did place 4th in a few of his heats!

 This is Olivia, Tayja and Trinity's 3rd year taking private ::tennis:: lessons.

I hope these girls continue to love it because I know they will be very good. My little Olivia is a natural, always has been.

They practice twice a week in the Summer months, once a week Spring and Fall.

.Boise.

7.21.12
Lucky Peak

Eric's girlfriend brought a slackline. I thought I would be good at it, since I cheered and all. I was wrong. It was so hard but so addicting.

7.22.12
Boise River
(Tyler stayed home with the little ones)

 The water was FREEZING- so it was crazy getting dipped and Drew just jumping in like it's nothing.

7.23.12
Roaring Springs
We love this water park. Too bad Alex wouldn't participate. They have the best little kid area.
