Tyler Meets the Big Three-O

Last Tuesday was Tyler's Birthday and so I thought I would surprise him with a Birthday Dinner with our closest friends and family. He really had no idea and I can't believe I kept a secret for that long, I am so proud. We had it at the Skybox and watched the Jazz game on the big screen. Our family and friends were there, the Jazz won, the food was great, and Tyler turned 30. What more can you ask for....

Hope you had a great Birthday Tyler! We love you so much and we appreciate everything you do for our family. You are the best Dad and Husband!

Valentines In Vegas

We went to Vegas with our good friends for Valentines weekend. I seriously haven't been to Vegas in over 5 years! Crazy since I am from St. George and we used to go there at least every month for our Costco and good Mall shopping. We left for our trip Thursday evening just in time for I15 to be closed down for the night because of weather related semi accidents. We went another route and made it to Vegas in about 10 hours. Sweet. It really wasn't that bad because we didn't have any kids. So the ride was a vacation on it's own. In Vegas we had a great time with all the gambling, buffets, and entertainment.

We stayed at the Luxor all three nights.

The Boys went on the thrill rides.

While the girls relaxed at the Oxygen Bar.

We ate a lot of great food!

We had an uneventful drive home and were ready to see the kids again.

Just Venting!!!

HOLY CRAPOLA, I could not even began to imagine having six kids (3 with special needs) and then just giving birth to 8 more! Those poor kids that have to go through this just because of some dumb choices by the Mom and Doctor. What were they thinking? That would be the hardest life with a husband and money. Take those two things away and it almost seems impossible. I blame the Doctor mostly, he knew she had six kids seven years and younger and no job and no husband. It's the Doctor's responsibility to say no when it just doesn't sound like a good idea. They make you go to counseling when you have gastric bypass, they make you go to counseling when you are getting too much plastic surgery, why wouldn't you make her go to counseling when she already has too many kids and no husband or money to support her? Having 3 kids (none of which with special needs) is so much work and is so expensive. I wish her the best of luck and I hope she gets her tubes tied.

Crap! Alex learned to roll.

Do you ever feel like it's one thing after another! So Alex is now a great sleeper. Sleeps through the night and takes great naps. We can even put him down awake and he will just go to sleep. He does prefer his tummy to sleep on and hasn't slept on his back since we stopped swaddling him a month ago. Well on Saturday he learned to roll. Every time we put him down to sleep we put him on his tummy and when he wakes up he's on his back. Great right, big whoop. No! In the last two days he has totally mastered the rolling over trick and won't sleep on his back. So now he immediately rolls and then cries. No Alex, no. What the heck do I do, I can't put pillows or anything in there to prevent him from rolling? I think my new family motto is "one thing after another". Honestly child...
