So 4 stitches later....
Well we finally had our first run-in with stitches. I just thought Olivia would receive them first. Drew and I were at Old Navy yesterday and all the sudden I heard Drew scream. I knew it was a hurt scream so I rushed around the corner and his finger was cut wide open. I didn't see it happen but I just know he must of put his finger in one of the little metal holes that are everywhere in the store. Next time you're there just look and you will see all the holes just perfect for little fingers. Anyways I had a basket full of stuff so I took him up front where a worker was trying to clean his hand. You could tell by looking at it he needed stitches so I left for the Instacare. I called Tyler to meet me there. Olivia was in School during the whole incident. Let me tell you Drew was such a trooper besides the initial cry when it happened, not a peep from him. Some kids are totally just scared of even the sight of blood, not Drew, he would just look at it and say bud bud. We had to wait at the instacare, which doesn't make too much sense but because he was so good I don't think they realized how bad it really was. We finally went back and all nurses were just gawking over him because he was so calm and cute. The doctor gave us the choice to stitch it up or not. He said it would heal over time not stitching but it would take alot longer because it would come open from time to time. I kept thinking of blood on my carpet so we said stitch it up. This was going to be the hard part. Instead on me holding his legs down and possibly bruising him, the nurse literally laid on him, holding his whole body down. He did cry when they gave him the shots but it was short-lived. He just laid there watching this lady that was laying on top on him. The doctor realized while cleaning the cut it was much deeper than he thought, so I am glad we went for the stitches. So 4 stitches later, he's good as new. He was absolutely exhausted, so he crashed as soon as we got home. He was such a brave little kid, I am still amazed. This morning he had took off all the dressing from his finger and he was just looking at all the stitches. If it would of been Olivia it would of been a way more dramatic story to tell.

HaPpy BirThDaY mY BaBY DrEw!!!

So our little Drew turned TWO last week. We had his Tonka Truck Birthday party on Saturday and all the 2 year olds seem to enjoy it. It's parties like this when my house seems so so small. At least it was warm and the kids could also play in the backyard. The Tonka Truck theme turned out really cute, especially the kid's drinks, which were the orange cones. I can't believe Drew is two already. Although it seems like he's been around forever. He is such a GOOD boy in every aspect of the word. And he definitely resembles his Daddy which makes it so fun for me. If I could have six more like him I would. We love you Drew, Happy Birthday!

I touched Ryan Seacrest's arm!

So just an update, we got back from LA yesterday and American Idol was a blast. It's crazy to be five feet away from the contestants while they sing and Oh they sang so well. I thought it wouldn't sound as good because it was live but they sounded even better than on TV. I did feel Ryan up, well I touched his arm and totally made Jason blush by embarrassing him. There was a couple of shots of the Pit (audience standing) where you could see us but they were so fast. Thank goodness for tivo. The best shot was when Ryan was in the audience introducing Syesha next, you can see us to the right of him. It's definitely a great memory to have, a married, pregnant lady wooing over the cute boys. By the way they don't let any kind of camera's even close to the studio so we don't have any proof we were actually there except for the 1 second of fame on the TV. We had such a great time, thanks again Kat.

American Idol Here I come!

So my best friend Kathryn (she really was my best friend even before the call) called me last night and absolutely made my day. She received an email stating she had 4 tickets to the American Idol show next Tuesday. Knowing that I am the biggest American Idol fan and haven't missed one single episode since the show started 7 years ago, I said heck yah I am going. So when your watching next Tuesday look for us in the audience. I definitely think this year is my favorite so far and these three are my top favs. What an opportunity, thanks Kat!
The Basement Before
So we started finishing our basement a week ago today and I thought it would be cool to see a before and after. There will be another family room, two bedrooms, bathroom, playroom (under stairs), and storage room. I am so excited to finally plunge right in and do it. We will definitely need the extra space. Should be done in a month so I will post the after pics.
