.Wednesday, June 15th.
Me and Tyler's 9 year Anniversary. I was so excited because I was going to lose my Red Iguana virginity this night. Everyone always talks about how yummy it is, including Tyler, but I had not yet experienced it myself. So this was the day. I love Mexican food so I was a disappointed when I just wasn't that hungry there. A characteristic I don't normally carry. But I didn't think anything of it.
Next we hit up Costco. For all you that have not been married for 9 years, this is what you do on your 9 year anniversary. Sad? Not really. Because Costco with no kids is like a vacation.
We go home after a rather bumpy ride. Tyler's car is cute but not smooth. I have to brace myself and hold my stomach the whole time.
We get home and do our thing, put the kids to bed, probably checked my Facebook, watched a little TV. Now it was our Anniversary but I assure you there was no hanky panky going on here. And I actually started to feel super nauseous. And this excuse was for real this time. Although I'm sure Tyler didn't believe me.
.Thursday, June 16th 2:00AM.
Sleeping, I woke up to a little gush. Confused I went to the bathroom and a million things were going through my mind. Like did I just pee myself? But my pee isn't usually light pink? So I go downstairs to google if your bag of water is light pink. Apparently every one's bag of water is different colors. Hmm? It did say it will do it again if it is my bag of water. Now I NEVER imagined my water would break. My water doesn't break. I have been induced with every other child. I get up from the couch and sure enough another gush. So I knew. I called my Dr. and he said to go to the hospital.
So I go wake up Tyler and told him my water broke. I have always wanted to do that! I think his words were, are you kidding me right now?
So now we are just confused. Not packed, running around, trying to figure out what we need. The contractions have started as well. We have no family around. Our friends are our family. So I called Jocelyn at 2:30AM to come over. She came right away and we left for the hospital. I was surprised I didn't gush on Tyler's precious car. My body knew and waited until we got to the hospital for the faucet to really start running.
The rest is history. A normal birth of a baby girl. She arrived 2 weeks early at 11:50am. She weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20 inches long. It was me, Tyler and Jocelyn there. And thanks to another friend Kara for getting my kids up and ready for the day. And getting Liv off to school. I really have the best neighbors.
So was it the Mexican food, the full moon, the pure thought of getting frisky, the bumpy car ride? Who knows? But it was a fun experience to have (even if my legs weren't shaved).
.Meeting Esther.
Behind the name:
Esther Nicole
Anyone who's known me for a super long time has known I wanted to name a daughter Esther. I have had this name since Middle School. For some reason we decided against it with Olivia and felt we had to name her that. So I never knew if I would actually get my Esther. Luckily Tyler has always loved it as well. Nicole is my middle name and I was named after my Great Grandma, Naomi Cole.
