FREAK I HAVE AN EIGHT YEAR OLD.

HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? I FEEL LIKE I AM STILL 22.
ALL 6 OF US GOT ON A PLANE AND FLEW TO CALIFORNIA ON OLIVIA'S BIRTHDAY. (ANOTHER FREAK FOR THAT)
WHERE WE SPENT 10 DAYS CELEBRATING THANKSGIVING AND OLIVIA'S BAPTISM.
SO WE THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE HER OPEN HER BIRTHDAY PRESENTS AHEAD OF TIME (SO I CAN WASH HER NEW CLOTHES OF COURSE).
WHICH REMINDS ME, THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST TIME NOT BUYING ANY TOYS FOR ONE OF MY KID'S BIRTHDAY! IT'S GREAT TO BE EIGHT, WHEN YOU'RE HAPPY WITH CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES! IM SO OVER TOYS.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL {NOVEMBER 18TH}.

WITH THE HELP OF (DAD) AND THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS, THE WHOLE AIRPLANE SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OLIVIA.
THEN WHEN WE ARRIVED IN CALI, OLIVIA CHOSE PF CHANGS FOR DINNER AND GRANDMA HAD BALLOONS, MONEY AND A CHOCOLATE CAKE WAITING FOR HER.

ESTHER AT 5 MONTHS

SIS IS FIVE MONTHS!

-SHE STARTED EATING SOLID FOODS. AND SHE'S A PIGGY.
-SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I CAN'T KEEP UP WITH HER DEMAND.
-THIS IS MY LAST MONTH OF NURSING. I JUST WANTED TO MAKE IT TO 6 MONTHS AND I FEEL IT'S A PERFECT TIME FOR THE BOTH OF US.
-SHE SLEPT 12 HOURS STRAIGHT AT NIGHT.......FOR ABOUT A WEEK! AND EVER SINCE SHE STILL GET'S UP TO EAT IN THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING. I'M TELLING YOU, SHE'S A PIGGY.
-SHE USED TO SUCK HER THUMB SOMETIMES. NOW IT'S A LOT OF TIMES. AND WHAT IS WEIRD IS SHE SUCKS HER LEFT THUMB MOSTLY BUT WE HAVE CAUGHT HER QUITE OF FEW TIMES SUCKING HER RIGHT. WHATEVER SHE CAN GET.
-WE ARE ON ABSOLUTELY NO SCHEDULE! I'M ACTUALLY PROUD OF MYSELF. THIS IS HUGE FOR ME. I AM A SCHEDULE QUEEN. SHE EATS WHEN SHE EATS. SLEEPS WHEN SHE SLEEPS. IT'S DIFFERENT EVERY SINGLE DAY DEPENDING WHAT WE ARE DOING. IT FEELS GOOD.
-I STILL GIVE HER A BOTTLE A DAY. AND SHE IS GETTING BETTER WITH IT. TYLER JUST STARTED BEING ABLE TO DO IT ALSO. WHAT A RELIEF.
-SHE LAUGHS MORE OFTEN AND SMILES ALWAYS.
-SHE TRIES TO ROLL AS SOON AS I LAY HER DOWN. SO I HOLD HER BUM DOWN UNTIL SHE FINDS HER THUMB. SHE WON'T SLEEP ON HER BACK FOR VERY LONG.
-SHE'S BABBLING. DADADADA.
-TYLER AND I NIBBLE ON HER ROLLS EVERY CHANCE WE GET.
-OUR LIVES REVOLVE AROUND THIS LITTLE STINK POT.

.Esther Eats.

{October 22, 2011}

Remember when I left Esther for the first time with my Mom last month? Well when Tyler and I got home from the party my Mom asked if I had started giving Esther solid foods yet because she fed her a bowl of ice cream and she loved it. Nice. Does not surprise me that her first meal besides milk was ice cream given to her by Grandma.

But my Mom was right. She has been eating for a few weeks now and she is great at it. And whenever I am holding a cup or a soda she freaks and tries to grab it out of my hands with her mouth open. It's quite cute.

It's weird how the day babies start eating baby food is the day babies learn to spit.

This is what's for dinner around here.

Sissy and Alex

Here he is.
Our pride and joy. ha ha.

He still LOVES his little Sister. Surprisingly.

I especially love when I get her to sleep so I can finally take a shower and then I hear HIM on her monitor. And then I find him in her crib. That's always fun.

She loves it though.

So this last week I think Alex got a cold and gave it to Esther. With her 3 older sibling in school now, this is going to happen more than I want. Then when the cold turned into a fever, I took her in to find she also was developing an ear infection. I'm glad I caught it super early but I do not look forward to this ALL WINTER LONG. We were supposed to go to St. George last weekend but decided I needed to get Esther better instead. And I'm glad I did because sure enough, the next day, I got the cold. Luckily it wasn't too bad and we are all better now. Until the next time that is.
