Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

{January 27-February 4}

Um I miss the food the most. Everyone knows I LOVE Mexican food. Our FAV place to eat was called Pipi’s. We went 3 times and never were we disappointed and it was always packed. Our other favorite was Victor’s Place. We ate there 4 times. We ate a lot.

My second favorite part were the WHALES. We happened to be there when a few hundred mama whales are teaching their babies the way of life in the bay. We saw a mom and baby almost everyday but one day we actually went whale watching and it was absolutely amazing! Plus the baby put on a little performance for us, which isn’t the norm.

We also rented a boat and a captain to take us fishing. The captain’s son helped us. The fish were small but we caught 35!

And the result….. The marina grilled up the fish for us. And by us I mean I would never eat one of those fish. Tyler loved them though.

We had a wonderful 8 days together. Puerto Vallarta is definitely a place we would return to and everyone should experience it.

getting another girl

{January 25th}

I could of had my ultrasound at 16 weeks like all my friends but I didn’t want a probably girl or boy. So I decided to wait until 18 weeks, I could hardly wait though. Which is funny because with Alex we didn’t even find out until he entered this world.

I had no definite feelings either way. So many things have been different with this pregnancy but not enough to say for sure. I was my sickest with Olivia for sure.

I was nervous as always when we were called back but more because I just wanted the baby to be healthy.

The tech started looking at the baby and the first view was the back and little bum. She started to measure things. But already I was looking around to see if I could find anything more. Right away I noticed parts were missing. And I told the tech I think there are parts missing. She said to hold on and she’ll go that way.

And there they were the 3 glowing lines. I covered my mouth in disbelief and both Tyler and I were both chocked up. We just could not believe it. We still can’t believe it. I have always said I thought Olivia would be my only Daughter. We feel very lucky. And more important, our baby girl looked healthy.

The first person I had to call of course was my Mom. She too just couldn’t believe it. I also could not wait to tell Olivia. But I had to wait until she got home from school. I went and got a couple dozen pink balloons to fill her room.

When she got home from school she immediately asked is it a girl or boy? And I told her to go up to her room to find out. She knew right away. IT’S A GIRL. Olivia get’s to experience something I never did, a Sister. Exactly what she wanted.
