2014 BASEBALL SEASON

With being a new Bishop and me pregnant with Triplets, Tyler didn't coach last year. Which was torture! But he definitely wanted to coach this year. Well not just anyone can coach. All the coaches that coached last year got first pick at being a coach again and they just didn't need another coach. We were so bummed! But the night before tryouts we got a phone call that they just added another team and Tyler would be the coach. We were elated! He went to tryouts the next morning and picked his team.

Well the Colorado ROCKIES ended up being really good (probably because they had awesome coaches)! The Rockies took first place in our league. It was seriously so much fun being on the winning team.

Drew also played double headers every Saturday on the accelerated team!
So because the Rockies won, the league chose Tyler to coach the 8U Allstars. This meant that Drew got an automatic spot on the team and they held a tryout for the other players. It was such a great experience for Drew and Tyler. Copper Hills 8U Allstars took 2nd place in our first tounement. First place in our second tournament. And 4th place at State! It was a serious blast for the players, coaches and of course the parents!!!!

Alex also played! Unfortunately Tyler could not coach both teams but Alex ended up with an amazing coach. At the team's first practice, I texted Tyler (who was at Drew's practice) and told him that our son pretty much sucked. And maybe he should pay a little more attention to our second son.... But when the games started Alex blew us away! He's a great little hitter off the machine and he rocked 1st base. This kid continually surprises us.

Even though it is complete chaos for 3 months I cannot wait for next season!!!

Little Red Riding Hood

(The kids get Birthday parties on their odd years. So this year is the girl's turn! I start thinking way before of a theme so that I have months to see things go on sale and prepare. I feel when I wait to the very last minute I spend way more because I don't have time to research. I also like a little challenge so I try to pick non-typical themes.)

The girls played in "Granny's House".

We roasted some S'mores.

The girls intently listened to the classic (kind of scary) story.

They also went on a berry hunt through the forest. The girls absolutely loved this. First they planted the  seeds, watered the seeds and then later checked to see if the berries had grown. And they had! Their faces were priceless as they went from one pot to the next picking the berries.

All the girl's got a gift too! A wolf that has a little Granny in the belly. It was the cutest thing. The girls loved it!
