COSTA 2/27-3/6

Day #Uno

We just want HOT SUN! And we got it, averaged 97 degrees the whole time.

Our beach.

Our patio on the beach.

Our personal hammock.

Each room had two double beds (common in Central America). The first night there we were under a tsunami watch from the earthquake in Chili. So I climbed into Tyler's double bed in the middle of the night (I was scared). And that's how we slept the rest of the week. In ONE double bed! Good thing I love my husband.

The whole gang shopping (Tyler always tries to steal a kid from wherever we are).

Day #Dos

Snorkel at Torguga Island
Low tide + boat with all of us = stuck in the crocodile infested water = boys have to get out and push = girls tanning in the boat = one funny memory.

Dinner.

Day #Tres

TRYING to skim board, kayak, and boogie board.

Looking for Crocodiles? Yep in that same water where the boys were pushing! We saw 3.

We also fed wild monkeys....

A little tennis that night.

Day #Cuatro

Boys went golfing.

Girls stayed at the pool and danced in bubbles???

Dinner at the "nice" restaurant.

The most beautiful sunsets.

Day #Cinco

We spent the day at the surf town Jaco where the boys did some surfing. We spotted some more crocodiles on the way.

The best part was Coke Light. Less calories but no aspartame. Genius!

I think I peed 12 times a day, I peed here too.

My surfer dude is so hot! I was going to try surfing but didn't because I didn't want to die.

This beach was so awesome!

Day #Seis

We took horses up to the zip lines.

We ziplined 25 times over 11 waterfalls! Hello so fun!

That night the resort had a special guest. Yep, I knew it, he is alive and well. Living it up in Costa Rica!

We now know why everyone told us Costa is the best vacation! It was absolutely amazing and we would go back tomorrow if we could.

Bonus! I read the third Twilight book on the plane rides!

{eighteen months}

Alex is 18 months!

Everyone seems to have a child full of curiosity.

We got ours.

I am glad he's our third, we are more patient and wiser.

We love that he gets into EVERYTHING!

He makes us so happy! And mad all in the same 5 minutes.

I wish he would stay 18 months.

He doesn't eat good.

He's all the sudden terrified of baths.

He throws everything, including his food.

(we'll appreciate that later)

His hits.

He unwraps all my tampons and puts them in the toilet.

He climbs everything.

He squishes everything with his finger.

He is not a good shopping companion.

He throws tantrums with the back arch.

He sleeps awesome.

He loves his mom and dad.

He does what he is told.

He's great in the car.

He's so dang cute.

He mimics everything.

He loves songs and books.

He gives kisses.

He's very happy.

Tyler Get's Older

Unfortunately Tyler's Birthday was a horrible day for me this year. I was sicker than a dog. So me and the kids decided to surprise him a few days later with a song, balloons and an ice cream cookie.

31 things I love about the one I love:

1. he will always be 3 years older than me

2. he played two sports in college, baseball & football

3. he had his toenail removed permanently

4. he sleeps on the left side of bed

5. he exercises 4 times a week, at least

6. he taught me how to kiss

7. he served his mission in Peru

8. he doesn't snore

9. he went to Dixie and BYU

10. he isn't handy

11. he loves to talk
