Prego Update

-My induction date is Wednesday, June 22nd. (1 week before my due date)
-I have been induced with all 3 other babies, so I am guessing I will make it to the 22nd.
-I am now getting the awesome comments of "wow you look ready to pop".  Actually I have 4 more weeks thank you for noticing.
(I don't normally take self portraits. I like when other's do it but I feel totally lame doing it myself. But I just want everyone to feel bad for me and the giant tummy (with 4 weeks of growth left)(If she is only 6 lbs I will be so confused)
-I am having a hard time sleeping. I can't wait to sleep on my tummy again.
-Sometimes I wake up and my hips throb and throb.
-Every once in awhile I will get a charley horse in my calf. So I have to jump out of bed and walk around a minute. Why does that happen when pregnant?
-I still take a unisom to sleep.
-I have braxton hicks all.the.time.
-Baby get's hiccups a lot now.
-I can't decide if she is head down. Which she should be by now but I don't have the pressure I had with Alex.
-If I have a breached baby I will be ticked.
-One of our best friends turned FORTY last week. I don't know why we are hanging out with such old fogies. Last time I checked, I was still in my 20's (booyah). We had so much fun though, like my mascara was dripping.

-Had an appt. today but the Dr was so backed up that I said see ya next week!
-We went to Pirates of the Caribbean and that will be the last movie I see in the theatre for awhile. I was so uncomfortable. Had to even watch it standing in the hall for a little. The things I do for Johnny.
-We also went to the Utah's Entertainment Choice Awards. Thinking it would be super cool. It was super lame. There were "stars" but in comparison to Tyler's magazine events, it was poorly done. We left early. I didn't get to see David Archuletta, Donny Osmond or Debbie Gibson.
(Kim and I think our Husbands are hot..... with a side of nerd of course)

-I've made an executive decision to wait to potty train Alex. It's just too close to baby time. And there are so many reasons I should wait. Only one reason to do it, and that's to save money. I will probably do it around his third B-day in Sept. He does go a couple times a day on the toilet though so we are preparing him well.
(I found him sleeping like this the other night)
-I need to finish getting organized. 4 weeks is going to fly~

Drew Says....

First of all, is this not the cutest ELEPHANT you have ever seen? Seriously. This kid has some skills.

Then the other day in the car Drew says......

Drew: Mom, did you know that Black people that are Mexican are called Indians?

Yah made me think a minute too. Poor kid is so confused I didn't even respond.

Organizing

.ORGANIZE ME.

My storage center of the house is pathetic. Really. But I guess it's better than nothing.
I was excited to get this room organized and to get food and supplies stocked up.
I still need 2 more backpacks and 3 more tubs of emergency preparedness food. We've had a couple kids since doing it but it is looking much better.

You couldn't even walk in the tiny room Before:

Food Storage:

My food storage consists of Emergency Food buckets (from Costco, although I couldn't find them there yesterday). I've found they are the easiest to store and they have a 20 year shelf life so I don't have to worry about rotating. And let's face it, if something were to happen, I am not going to be thinking of meals to do with my bucket of wheat. So this is just way more practical for me. So I have these easy meals in buckets and tons of water, in the garage.
And just in case we have to up and leave suddenly, we have the emergency backpacks with everything we could possibly need for 3 days.
My emergency preparedness is super simple compared to some but it does make me feel safe at the end of the day.

our special boy

Just writing that title makes me giggle.
So I will try to make a long story as short as possible because I can't stand reading long posts.

Alex isn't speaking as well as he should be at 2 1/2 years old. I guess he "should" be speaking in 3-4 word sentences and he is not. He is basically talking like a typical 2 year old would. Knowing this I had him evaluated. I am a a proactive person for sure and I don't want to sit around and wait to see if catches up.

The evaluation went good and the lady said he is a very smart kid but he should be talking better. And the best part is he understands everything which is very good. I asked why is he not talking well? I always just want the diagnosis so I can fix the problem. She said he is one of the few that she has no idea why? There's not a diagnosis and there are probably many factors. Like he's the 3rd child, his separation anxiety, his personality, his ears? Who the hellsinki knows?

But they were concerned about his ears so they had me go have his ears tested. That's hard for a 2 year old.  He didn't pass and there was fluid on one his ears. But before she sent me to an ENT she wants to see him again to retest him to see if it's a fluke. We know he can hear, but maybe things are muffled for him?

So now he has a speech therapist who comes every week to work with him and to give me and Tyler things we can work on with him. We are still waiting for the next ear test. Hopefully everything is fine but it would make a lot of sense if he does have fluid on his ears he is not hearing things right. He was my worst baby with ear infections and he would have them for months at a time.

So that's where we are at. On top of everything else I'm dealing with right now we are trying to get this squared away as well. Luckily he is a September baby so he has 3 more years of preschool and they think he will be completely caught up by then.
I like this article and it pretty much sums it up.

Golf Clinic

We took the kids to a little golf clinic. Each child got a new golf club, even Alex. Plus they got a few pointers from a pro. Drew LOVES golf so he was in heaven. And Olivia is such a natural at sports so she did well too. Tyler actually knew the pro and I think he was impressed with what Tyler has taught our kids so far. Even though I don't golf, yet, I just love my little golfers.

Drew's Spring Program

We always enjoy going to Drew's preschool programs. He is quite the little singer and performer. Which is probably why he is always strategically placed front and center. Cutie pie.

Organizing

.ORGANIZE ME.

Our toy room is only a little space under the stairs in the basement. It works. The bigger the toy room, the more crap and toys you probably have. So I am good with keeping it simple and small. BUT I am constantly going through toys and giving them away.

I needed some better toy storage. This is from Target and all is on SALE right now. Obviously pink and purple bins for the girl toys. Blue and green for the boy toys.
