Happy Birthday Drew

Drew is FIVE!
{April, 17th 2011}

I loved that Drew wanted to go bowling this year for his Birthday. That meant little planning, little preparing and little spending for me.

I always have to have a theme so bowling it was but that was a hard. There are not much bowling party things. So I have to get creative.

Bowling wrapping paper?
Nope, but I did get polka dot paper and markered dots to make it look like bowling balls.

Bowling party favors.

Bowling invites.

Bowling dessert.
This was a stretch. But I thought doughnuts sounded better than the typical cupcake. I just put white dots on them.

The party.

On Sunday, his actual Birthday, I made the dinner he wanted. Steak, salad, corn on the cob, and peach pie. He got a cute shirt from Uncle Curtis and Aunt Kim. And we thought it was time he got a new "bigger" bike. His other is so small and we are ready to switch the training wheels and start teaching Alex to ride. This new bike is a little big for Drew still (without the training wheels), but I bet within the week he will have it down.

Happy Birthday to our sweet boy!

happy shopping!

So I came upon this cute website actually driving by the warehouse in West Valley. It's right by Direct Source Furniture, where I got the boys bunk beds. The building said babysteals.com. I looked it up and it's been really fun. So there is a babysteals.com and the sister site, kidsteals.com. Each day at 9am they change the deal of the day. Things do sell out fast. So I guess I am not the only person who knows of the websites. Then babysteals.com also has a deal at 9pm too. It get's sort of addicting because you always want to be checking at 9am and 9pm. The thing I love the most is if you live up here, you don't have to pay for shipping. I can just go pick it up at the warehouse. I am a pay for shipping hater. The downside is there are no returns! So there have been things that I like but just wasn't sure so I just don't do it! Like this diaper bag. It has been on a couple of times and I thought I like it but it's something I would need to see in person. I don't want the bag bigger than me ect ect ect. Well I did purchase some Sunday ties for Drew and went to pick them up at the warehouse. There is a little shop there with a lot of the things on the website. I saw the diaper bag, got to see it in person and loved it. So I bought it. Anyways just thought I would share this find that I had never heard about. And sorry ahead of time on the getting you addicted to something else!

.ORGANIZE ME.

Upstairs closet #1- The dreaded hall closet

I started with the messiest closet first. I've let this closet go to pot lately knowing I needed to tackle it.
So jammed packed with crap.

First of all I love to {STOCK UP}. Especially when I know I won't be hitting the stores everyday when baby comes. One of my favorite brands is the up & up brand from Target. Any chance I have to buy Target's generic, I'm there! (Which is funny because I don't buy generic groceries, ever.) But I do love Target. And if you don't have their new Target card, get it! It's just a debit card, comes out of your bank account and every purchase I get 5% off automatically. So if the total is 100 bucks when I swipe my card the total goes down 5% right then and there. It's great. K but seriously I don't work for Target. I should. But I don't.
I also stock up from Costco of course. A lot of our toiletries I get from Costco. I also LOVE Kirkland brand of anything.

Before:

I DI'ed a ton of blankets, sheets and towels we don't ever use or need. In my own perfect world I would have all white towels, sheets and blankets but this will do for now.

After:

Of course I had to label some things.
