This is the day we found out and we had the annual Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Ceremony that evening. This is by far my favorite event of the year. This is our third year attending and it's so fun to see the great entrepreneurs of Utah. Utah is a wonderful wonderful place for businesses. As the new Publisher, Tyler had to even present an award. Ooh so scary! He said he couldn't even read the prompter because he's so tall so he had to totally wing it, even then he did a great job!

Yeah for Tyler!!!
Tyler was promoted last week! He has been working for Utah Business Magazine for a couple of years now as the Advertising Director. He has done absolutely amazing things as the Director, even in a recession. So this was well deserved. He is now the PUBLISHER of Utah Business Magazine. I can't believe it. And really what that means is that he is the boss man now. Congratulations Tyler we are all so proud of you, you are so good at what you do!

Alex is 9 Months!
Alex turned 9 months yesterday!
Accomplishments: Crawling, pulling self up, 8 teeth (6 in one month), feeding himself little snacks, and holding his own bottle!
Annoyances: Not taking long naps, always wants mom, can't sit still for one second.
Stats: 21 lbs 3 ounces 65%, 29.5 inches 90%, head 47.5cm 95%.

Um you think this kid needs a haircut? For some odd reason his Dad won't let me.

I always like to compare Alex to what Olivia and Drew were at 9 months:
Olivia- 20 lbs 15.5 ounces, 29.5 inches, head 45cm.
Drew- 19 lbs 5 ounces, 28.5 inches, head 47cm.
Alex- 21 lbs 3 ounces, 29.5 inches, head 47.5cm.
They are all so close!

Uncle Eric
We only get to see my brother twice maybe three times a year. So when he does come to visit it's a treat for the kids. They don't leave the poor guy alone. They love him so much and "Uncle Awesome" is so good with them. Even Alex wanted Uncle Awesome, it doesn't show that in the picture though!

Happy Mother's Day to Me
Tyler got me a weekend away in Park City for Mother's day. So last weekend we were able to go all by ourselves! Oh how I love my kids, but oh how I love to be away from them too. It was a great weekend. Park City is an amazing place and I feel so lucky to be so close. Tyler received his first Pedi with me and we also had a couple's massage. The weekend was all about me so I got to pick where I wanted to eat or what I wanted to do or not do. So when Tyler asked "Wouldn't it be so fun to go golfing together, you could drive the cart?" No Tyler that wouldn't be so fun to me, but nice try. We got pedi's instead! We also did the Alpine Coaster and Slide. Oh and we hit the outlets of course, with no complaining from him. It was so rejuvenating and I feel ready to continue with the day to day Mom stuff now. Thanks Tyler for the great weekend away! And thank you Kim for watching the boys and Liza for watching Liv.

Finally kid, finally.
Well Alex has finally learned to crawl. After what seams like over a month of almost crawling he has figured it out. Bitter sweet for sure, he can now entertain himself better by getting into things, but now I won't be able to contain the little guy. I wanted to spare you from the home video but here's a couple of pictures. Yeah Alex!

Holiday Road
For Memorial weekend we decided to go to Small Town, America. Fairview, Utah that is. We spent the weekend with our good friends in their cabin. It was sooo much fun. It rained a ton but we still had fun on the four wheelers. Then at night we would put the kids to bed early and play games until morning. Can't beat that!

Drew brought some souvenirs home, some really weird bites and 5 mothballs in his pocket. For a whole day we could not figure out why we were smelling mothballs in the cabin, we sniffed everything. Well at home, doing laundry I found them in Drew's pocket. So glad we could spread the smell to my house. They should make a fragrance out of that stuff, yum.

Liv Liv Liv, my big girl!
When there is a baby in the house that's hitting new milestones weekly, we tend to forget about the older kids and their accomplishments. They don't come as frequent but they are big ones! Olivia has hit a few milestones lately that I want to remember...
First, while in Mexico she learned to swim! I guess she didn't really learn how to swim, since she didn't have swim lessons. She learned how to not drown. She prefers swimming under water like a frog. Hey she can get from one side of the pool to the other without dying so that's great! She has always been a fearless water baby, and her brothers have definitely followed in her footsteps.

Second, she can read! We are completing the third and final year of Preschool, yeah! I have been waiting for kindergarten for what seems like forever. I cannot wait for that first day waiting at the bus stop for her. Anyways this past year in preschool she has learned to read. Now she hasn't started the Twilight series yet but she passes off books at school every week. And she loves to read, which most little girls do for some reason. Great job Olivia!

Her last big accomplishment is Olivia learned to ride her bike without training wheels! Man she was determined, I think it took a whole one day. Now she's popping wheelys all over the place. She definitely needs a bigger bike now!

Olivia we are so proud of you and all your big milestones. You are such a quick learner, I sometimes forget you're only 5!
