So Alex has had a snotty nose since Thanksgiving. I am not exaggerating when I say this. I just thought geez your sick a lot kid (with no other symptoms). Now I am thinking it's not a cold that's lasted 4 months, since it has never gone away. I think he may have allergies. I did take the filter out of our vent about the time he started (long story). So now we've put a new filter in and we will see what happens. I am so sick of wiping his raw little nose. We might have to invest in a air purifier for his room. I have never had a child with allergies but Tyler has them so it wouldn't surprise me. Do any of your kids have allergies? He's the cutest snot nosed kid around.

Talking with Liv
Olivia was talking about girls kissing boys or something. We have talked about cooties on more than one occasion.
Mom- Olivia you don't want to kiss boys, they have COOTIES.
Olivia- What are cooties anyways?
Mom- It's like boy germs.
Olivia- Oh, I thought it meant wieners!
Mom- (In my mind) EXACTLY!

six kids and counting
Out of the grace of my heart I offered to watch our friend's kids while they went to a kid less Birthday dinner. All the kids are such good friends so it's very easy to watch them. I love having all of them so close in age. They are 6 crazy cute kids.

Sleeping Babies
We are trying to get used to no naps for Drew.

But he touches the couch and he's out.
And I hate waking a sleeping baby but we have to pick up Drew from school.
Alex is always happy to be awakened.

American Idol
Drew: Well I have my golden ticket, I need to go to Hollywood!
I can't believe American Idol has been on this long! My kids have grown up with it. They don't know any different than to watch every episode, I haven't missed one show since the beginning. They even got to see Mom in the audience one time. It will be a sad day when it's gone, my kids will have a culture shock. They think it's a part of life, which it is right now!

Help me understand!
So I get a call from the kid's pediatrician's office, she said I have an outstanding balance. Okay, for what? She said I had met my cap for well checks last year for Alex. Hmm? Didn't know I had a cap for well checks. So I call my insurance office. Sure enough, 500.00 per kid is what I get for well checks and immunizations per year. What? I have a cap for preventative care? I look at the bill closely and all the charges are for immunizations. Which is ironic since Alex is behind because I will only let them give him one shot per visit. So you are telling me I owe 300.00 for shots that the government wants him to have? Here we pay a pretty penny for our premiums just to have health insurance. Then my co-payment is 40 big ones. Now I have to pay full price for the immunizations? Why does this bug me? Because there is a TON of people out there getting all of that for FREE! So why am I being punished when I do right?
