.Our thread of hope turned miracle.
Up to this point Kim and Curtis have never heard a heartbeat. They have done invitro SIX times . Never hearing a heartbeat. Take a minute and try to imagine that.
And honestly they thought this ultrasound wasn't going to be any different. I think they had already began the mourning process once again.
As soon as the technician put the probe in she said. Wow. It's like I'm doing an ultrasound on a completely different person. One week made all the differnce. Or maybe it was all the support and prayers that made all the difference.
I want you to know that the whole time and every time I am on that table. My legs are shaking. The technician has to literally hold them still.
That one sac. The one that was definitely empty one week before. There was a baby in it. Our little miracle baby came through. This baby is extra special to me. All five of us in the room saw no baby one week and then to see a little peanut with a heartbeat. We HEARD the heartbeat. Kim and Curtis heard their baby's heartbeat for the very first time.
Kim and Curtis are a mess again. But it was the good kind.
The tech goes over to the other sac. ANOTHER baby with a heartbeat! She started measuring the baby. That's when Tyler said I think that baby has TWO heartbeats! She looked a little closer and said you know, you are right. This is two babies! TWO more heartbeats. Identical twins.
We only put two embryo's in me. So we always knew twins could be a possibility. But TRIPLETS? This doesn't happen too often. So we feel pretty special.
For Kim and Curtis to have done invitro 6 times prior to this with no babies to show for it. Then on the 7th time to have both take and then one splits! It was just meant to be.
This time we all left the appointment in complete shock. Our lives will be forever changed.
Never in my life did I think there would be a baby A, baby B and baby C in my belly. Here is their first of many many pictures (we couldn't even get them in one frame, there's just so many of them).

it's just so special. my best wishes to you on this journey.
Miracle babies with an unbelievably amazing home for the next hopefully at least 23 weeks!! That's not very long. It still feels like a dream :)
So amazing! Definitely a miracle!
INCREDIBLE! Wow, can't believe there are three. YAY! It has been so neat to follow your experience, (and Kim and Curtis') I am so glad you have all been willing to share. Gives me goosebumps thinking about them hearing the heartbeats for the first time.
